Open Air Fire definition

Open Air Fire means any fire that burns in the open air that is, or is not enclosed in an incinerator, furnace or other device.
Open Air Fire means a fire set outdoors for any purpose, including cooking, recreation, generation of heat, the disposal of wood, stubble or crop residue and for religious or ceremonial purposes;
Open Air Fire means any fire which is not an Incinerator Fire, Pit Fire or Public Park Site Fire and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes grass fires, forest and brush fires, running fires, structure fires, building fire, wood scrap fires, ground thawing fires, and Chattel Fires.

Examples of Open Air Fire in a sentence

  • Open Air Fire – shall mean the same definition as a Fire.Out Of Control – shall mean a fire which spreads beyond the boundaries of the parcel of land or containment area in which it was first ignited, or threatens to do so, or when it endangers any life, Building or property, or when the flying ash or burning brands are causing or have the potential to cause other fires, or when such fire is left unattended.

  • The flame length does not exceed 1 metre (3.3 feet) in height and 1 metre (3.3 feet) in diameter.Contractor/Agricultural Fire shall mean an Open Air Fire, having been approved, that is set and maintained for the sole purpose of burning cut piled wood or brush, the disposal of certain paper based refuse or non- toxic building materials.Cooking Fire – Shall mean a small contained fire, no greater than 12 inches (30 centimetres) in diameter and used to cook food on a grill.

  • There is a Person present and in control of the Open Air Fire at all times.7.2 The Fire Chief may, in his or her sole discretion, require as a condition of any Campground Permit, specific terms and conditions in addition to those set out in this By-Law and Schedule.7.3 Every owner/operator/supervisor of a Campground shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with the provisions of this By-Law and the terms and conditions of an issued Campground Permit.

  • The Fire Chief may direct any person to Extinguish any Open Air Fire where the Fire Chief has reasonable grounds to believe that the Open Air Fire is in contravention of this By-Law or of the terms and conditions of an Open Air Fire Permit.


More Definitions of Open Air Fire

Open Air Fire means any fire or burning practice that is conducted outside a building but does not include fires in fire pits or outdoor fireplaces which comply with the provisions of this Bylaw;
Open Air Fire means any fire situated outside, whether burned in a container or on the ground, but does not include a gas-fired outdoor campfire device.
Open Air Fire means the burning of material such as untreated wood and wood fiber products like non-laminated paper and cardboard and boxboard, brush, tree branches/limbs and leaves where the flame is not wholly contained and includes campfires, brush fires, burn drums, windrows and outdoor fireplaces, but does not include barbecues.
Open Air Fire means:• Any fire set outdoors, i.e. not in a Building, or• Any fire set in a device or appliance located outside of a Building• But does not include• Fires in Incinerators, or• Fires in devices installed outside of a Building and that are used as a source of heat or power for the Building or that are ancillary to a manufacturing process and provided that such device is certified for the purpose by a recognized and appropriate agency
Open Air Fire means any fire which is not contained inside of a building, pit or public park site fire pit, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes grass, forest, brush, running, structure, building, wood scrap, ground thawing and burning fires, or the burning of personal property;
