Common use of Work Environment Clause in Contracts

Work Environment. The County recognizes its obligation to provide a safe place of employment for its employees. To assist in accomplishing this goal, it is agreed that the County reserves the right to adopt reasonable departmental rules and regulations, which become effective when posted. The County will follow all required state and federal laws and regulations regarding health and safety practices, and when necessary, will set rules and policies related to such requirements. The Union agrees that it is the duty of all employees to comply with all reasonable rules and regulations and to be alert to all unsafe places, equipment and conditions and to report any such unsafe practices or conditions to their immediate supervisor.
