When a Holiday. Holy Day falls during an employee's vacation time, the employee may exercise the option of extending his/her vacation by these Holiday(s) providing approval has been granted prior to the vacation by the immediate supervisor.

Work on a Holiday If an employee works on an approved holiday, in addition to their holiday pay, they will be compensated at the rate of two (2) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday.
Overtime on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is required to work overtime on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she will receive compensation equal to 3.33 times her regular rate as follows:
Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).
Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays. The float holiday will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.
Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) The holidays listed in the part-time local Appendix for the purposes of Article 16.03(b) shall be the same holidays as are listed in the full-time Local Provisions Appendix. If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday.
Public Holiday 6.1 The Worker shall be entitled to public holidays in accordance with the labour laws in Malaysia.
Statutory Holiday All time worked on such Statutory Holidays as are provided for in this Agreement shall be considered as overtime and shall be paid at two hundred percent (200%) of the employee's regular straight-time rate, or the employee may elect to be paid straight-time rates for the overtime hours and take an equal number of hours as time off. Such time off must be taken according to a schedule acceptable to the employee's Supervisor within thirty (30) days of the end of the pay period in which the overtime was worked.
Work on a Paid Holiday A) Regular Employee
Sunday Employees at the Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 8:29 p.m. Sunday.
Saturday Sunday and designated paid holidays shall not be counted in determining the time within which any action is to be taken or completed under the grievance procedure.
