Examples of Statutory Holiday in a sentence
All Statutory Holidays which occur during a compressed work week schedule shall be observed on the actual day of the Statutory Holiday, even if such day would otherwise have been a regularly scheduled day off (e.g. the Friday of a Monday to Thursday compressed work week or a Saturday or a Sunday, etc.) When a Statutory Holiday is observed in accordance with the foregoing, overtime rates shall not apply on a regular work day in lieu of the Statutory Holiday.
When a Statutory Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following working day shall be observed.
An employee who works on a Statutory Holiday, shall be paid two (2) times the employee’s rate of pay for all hours worked.
If a Statutory Holiday to which an employee would otherwise be entitled falls within or in conjunction with the annual vacation period, the employee shall receive one (1) additional day of vacation with pay in lieu of the said Statutory Holiday, which shall be taken with the applicable annual vacation.
