Meal and Rest Periods. (a) An employee working a daily shift up to and including five (5) hours will have one (1) paid rest period not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes.
Meal and Rest Periods. For assignments where the employee is unable to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., live-in, shift or respite) the meal period shall be paid as time worked. For assignments where the employee is able to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., hourly), the meal period shall be unpaid. Except for emergencies, employees will be completely relieved from duty during the unpaid meal period. Fifteen (15) minute paid rest periods will be provided approximately midway through each four (4) hour segment of each shift. Employees will not be required to work longer than three (3) hours without a rest period, except in emergencies.
Meal and Rest Periods. Employees shall receive an unpaid thirty (30) minute meal period during each regular workday and two (2) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes each during each eight (8) or ten (10) hour workday. Employees who cannot be relieved of all duties shall be paid at the appropriate rate for their meal period. Meal periods and rest periods shall be administered in accordance with state law. Subject to written mutual agreement meal and/or rest periods may be combined.
Meal and Rest Periods. Normally the meal and rest periods will be scheduled as follows: • two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid rest periods; and • two (2) thirty (30) minute meal periods, of which forty-five (45) minutes is unpaid.
Meal and Rest Periods. 17.01 Meal and rest periods are to be taken with residents/clients. Employees who have worked a shift of five (5) hours or more are entitled to a meal period.
Meal and Rest Periods. All employees shall receive an unpaid meal period of at least one-half (½) hour during each normal workday. Meal periods shall occur as near the middle of the shift as is practical. Employees required by the supervisor to remain in the working area during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All employees shall be allowed three (3) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes each during each shift of twelve (12) hours or more duration. Rest periods may be taken on an intermittent basis. Employees who are not released for rest periods after requesting release from the supervisor or designee shall be paid for the missed rest period at the employee’s regular rate of pay. The employee shall have the obligation of requesting relief on a timely basis.
Meal and Rest Periods. 15.01 A meal period, with pay, for employees working on a daily shift of seven (7) or more hours shall be thirty (30) minutes in duration and shall not start earlier than three (3) hours, nor later than five (5) hours after commencement of the employee's shift, unless the employee is required to respond or is involved in an emergency situation. Employees shall be entitled to two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods, with pay, for same seven (7) hour shift, which shall be taken approximately in the middle of each one-half of the shift.
Meal and Rest Periods. Nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of no less than one-half (1/2) hour during a scheduled shift of six (6) hours or more. The meal period will be unpaid if, the nurse is completely relieved from duty. Nurses shall also receive one fifteen (15) minute paid rest period for each full four (4) hour work period, unless patient care demands make taking a rest break unfeasible.
Meal and Rest Periods. The University and the Union agree to meal and break periods that vary from and supersede the paid meal period requirements of WAC 000-000-000.
Meal and Rest Periods. 12.01 A part-time employee who works three and one-half (3 1/2) consecutive hours, but less than or equal to five (5) consecutive hours, shall be entitled to one (1) fifteen (15) minute rest period without loss of pay.
