Learning Resources a. The College agrees to grant to the students of the School District enrolled in Galveston College courses the same rights, privileges, and access to the library's collections and services as students enrolled in courses on the Galveston College campuses. In addition, Galveston College will offer these students access to the library's electronic information resources through the Internet, subject to the College's licensing contracts with its vendors and available technology.

Learning Resources. Carrying out a program to improve learning resources and increase utilization of educational technology, including: (i) development of science kits and provision of books to school libraries; (ii) introduction of pilot projects for use of computers, television and VCR in teaching; and (iii) provision of audio-visual facilities.

This project has been designed to provide schools with access to our Skills for Learning, Life and Work resources under a Creative Commons licence. It has been designed to allow both staff and pupils access to a wide range of materials that can be used to support learning and teaching.  The expansion of the Reading Ahead project to include the Outreach Centres and Arbroath Supported Education and ESOL (English as a second or other language) groups. This national literacy initiative has been extremely successful in its pilot year – with the College being awarded the Bronze Award for participation. ADVISING & COUNSELING Academic advising and counseling will be primarily provided by the high school counselor. Training and support for counselors will be provided by the dual credit department. (Contracts for fall quarter must be submitted by the end of the second week in August.) Western Washington University’s Human Services Program offers a limited number of opportunities for students in the major to pursue directed independent study. Areas of study are limited to topics that are not currently offered by Western at your site. The directed independent study contract specifies what you want to learn, how you will learn, and the evidence you will submit for the faculty to assess your learning. Learning contracts are developed, agreed upon, and signed by you, the supervising faculty member, and the Chair of the Department. Following are the steps to develop and complete an independent study contract prior to registration. STEP I: Completing the Directed Independent Study Information Section It is up to you to recruit a full-time faculty member in the Department of Human Services and Rehabilitation to supervise your independent learning experience. The faculty member must be willing to meet with you on a regular basis. You and the supervising faculty member will select the course title and number (HSP 300/HSP 400) for your study. The title that will appear on your transcript should reflect the topic you will be studying and is limited to 30 characters (including punctuation and spaces) The number of credits for a directed independent study will vary according to the time spent and the depth of learning required. Learning Resources. The Board of Trustees delegates the responsibility for the selection of learning resources to the professional staff employed by the school district. Selections shall be made in accordance with Board Policy. The Board of Trustees makes the final decision for the selection of all learning resources. Learning resources not undergoing a Board adoption shall be considered supplementary materials and shall be selected pursuant to the criteria for selection of learning resources as outlined in Administrative Regulations. The selection of learning resources on controversial issues will be directed towards maintaining a balanced collection representing various views in accordance with Board Policy and Administrative Regulations. Certified professionals will have the opportunity to be involved in the selection of learning resources.
Learning Resources. 2.4.1. The College provides students with access to digital resources, including assessment and lesson plans, task sheets, course booklets, discussion boards and blogs to support their learning.

  • Business Continuity Planning Supplier shall prepare and maintain at no additional cost to Buyer a Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”). Upon written request of Buyer, Supplier shall provide a copy of Supplier’s BCP. The BCP shall be designed to ensure that Supplier can continue to provide the goods and/or services in accordance with this Order in the event of a disaster or other BCP-triggering event (as such events are defined in the applicable BCP). Supplier’s BCP shall, at a minimum, provide for: (a) the retention and retrieval of data and files; (b) obtaining resources necessary for recovery, (c) appropriate continuity plans to maintain adequate levels of staffing required to provide the goods and services during a disruptive event; (d) procedures to activate an immediate, orderly response to emergency situations; (e) procedures to address potential disruptions to Supplier’s supply chain; (f) a defined escalation process for notification of Buyer, within two (2) business days, in the event of a BCP-triggering event; and (g) training for key Supplier Personnel who are responsible for monitoring and maintaining Supplier’s continuity plans and records. Supplier shall maintain the BCP and test it at least annually or whenever there are material changes in Supplier’s operations, risks or business practices. Upon Xxxxx’s written and reasonable request, Supplier shall provide Buyer an executive summary of test results and a report of corrective actions (including the timing for implementation) to be taken to remedy any deficiencies identified by such testing. Upon Xxxxx’s request and with reasonable advance notice and conducted in such a manner as not to unduly interfere with Supplier’s operations, Supplier shall give Buyer and its designated agents access to Supplier’s designated representative(s) with detailed functional knowledge of Supplier’s BCP and relevant subject matter.

  • Management Grievance The Employer may initiate a grievance at Step 3 of the grievance procedure by the Employer or designate presenting the grievance to the President of the Union or designate. Time limits and process are identical to a union grievance.

  • Enterprise Information Management Standards Grantee shall conform to HHS standards for data management as described by the policies of the HHS Office of Data, Analytics, and Performance. These include, but are not limited to, standards for documentation and communication of data models, metadata, and other data definition methods that are required by HHS for ongoing data governance, strategic portfolio analysis, interoperability planning, and valuation of HHS System data assets.
