Junior High School. 1. Members will be assigned five (5) graded instructional classes or periods requiring instructional preparation of up to fifty (50) minutes each.
Junior High School. 10.12.4.1 All teachers at the Junior High School level shall be scheduled to have at least forty-five (45) minutes each day for subject preparation, in addition to a twenty- five (25) minute duty-free lunch period. No teacher shall be scheduled for more than twenty-five (25) teaching periods per week. Skills classes shall not be considered separate preparations and shall be scheduled during teachers' administrative periods. Any time not assigned for either teaching or class preparation will be used for administrative purposes. Teaching periods are those periods in which the teacher is actively involved with students in the act of teaching, either as an individual, or as a member of a teaching team, and has participated in the planning of the instruction to be conducted. Science laboratory periods are to be considered teaching periods. No teacher shall be scheduled for more than 260 minutes of teaching periods in one day.

Junior High School. Core Team members shall be assigned Team Meeting four days per week. On the fifth day, Core Teachers may be assigned only Collaborative Planning (except that Special Education service providers may attend to other legal requirements of their position such as parent meetings, testing and I.E.P. development). Team Leaders do not participate in the fifth meeting of the week. The Team and Collaborative Planning meetings may focus on Response to Intervention (RtI); Collaborative Planning; Planning for and meeting about students and their education; and building level or district initiatives.
Junior High School. (7-9): One (1) regular class period on a six-period day.
