Heavy Equipment Operator. An employee regularly assigned to perform as a Heavy Equipment Operator shall be eligible to receive a bi-weekly differential equivalent to 10% of the top step Firefighter Paramedic level. The Heavy Equipment Operator shall oversee wildland dozer equipment and operations, including, but not limited to, transport, support vehicles, and swamper personnel.

Heavy Equipment Operator. An employee who is engaged in the operation and routine maintenance of all types of equipment, particularly mobile power equipment associated with the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, parks, pipelines, and other facilities. The employee may be required to direct the work of up to two (2) other lower paid employees. The employee shall be capable of performing the duties with skill, efficiency and safety.
