Solid Waste Collection Service definition

Solid Waste Collection Service means the collection and transportation of Solid Waste as that term is defined herein within the Authorized Area, for processing or disposal at an Authorized Municipal Solid Waste Facility as defined in Chapter 9.04 of the City Code or as may be subsequently amended from time to time.
Solid Waste Collection Service or “service” means a service that provides for collection of solid waste or recyclables or both, as described in ORS 459 and 459A.
Solid Waste Collection Service or "service" means the collection, transportation or disposal of solid wastes.

  • Only the Franchisee and its Affiliates identified herein, shall operate, manage, and maintain the Solid Waste Collection Service.

  • The Franchisee shall, at its own expense, furnish personnel and equipment to collect Solid Waste and shall establish and maintain the contracted Solid Waste Collection Service in an efficient and businesslike manner, maintain a valid, current Hauler Permit issued by the City of El Paso, and shall comply with all requirements of the City Code, including but not limited to Chapter 9.04 of the City Code.

  • The Franchisee shall pay all fees necessary to obtain and maintain all applicable federal, state, and local licenses, permits, and authorizations required for the construction, installation, upgrading, maintenance, or operation of its Solid Waste Collection Service.

  • The Director may prevent the Franchisee from operating a Solid Waste Collection Service under this Franchise until satisfactory evidence of insurance coverage required under this subsection is presented to the Director.

  • The Franchisee represents and warrants that its current ownership is as set forth on Attachment “2”, attached to and made a part of this Agreement, and that it has full legal and equitable title to the Solid Waste Collection Service as of the Effective Date of this Agreement.

  • The Franchisee shall keep complete and accurate books of account and records of its Solid Waste Collection Service business and operations in the Authorized Area under and in connection with this Agreement in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted government auditing standards.

  • The City may temporarily suspend the operation of the Solid Waste Collection Service of Franchisee or close or otherwise restrict the use of Public Rights-of-Way in the event of a public emergency or calamity as determined in the City’s sole discretion.


More Definitions of Solid Waste Collection Service

Solid Waste Collection Service means the service provided by the City for the collection, removal, and disposal of solid waste, and for greater certainty, includes curbside collection service and City bin collection service.
Solid Waste Collection Service means the collection and transportation of SolidWaste as that term is defined herein within the Authorized Area, for processing or disposal at an Authorized Municipal Solid Waste Facility as defined in Chapter 9.04 of the City Code or as may be subsequently amended from time to time.
Solid Waste Collection Service means a contract or arrangement between any residential or business producer of solid waste and a solid waste hauler licensed by the City, whereby solid waste is collected on a periodic basis and hauled to and disposed of at a facility properly licensed and operated for such purpose.
Solid Waste Collection Service means the Collection of Solid Waste. "Solid Waste Disposal Facility" means any solid waste management facility which is the final resting place for Solid Waste, including landfills and incineration facilities that produce ash from the process of incinerating municipal solid waste. "Special Waste" means Solid Waste that can require special handling and management, including, but not limited to, White Goods, waste tires, Construction and Demolition Debris, ash residue and Yard Trash. Special Waste does not include Biological Waste. "Standard Container" means any commonly available light gauge steel, plastic, or galvanized water-resistant receptacle of a non-absorbent material, closed at one end and open at the other, furnished with a closely fitted water-resistant top or lid and handle(s), or a heavy duty, securely tied, plastic bag designed for use as a garbage receptacle. A standard container, should not exceed 32 gallons in capacity, unless the Hauler implements an automated or semi-automated collection system, with the prior written approval of the County, requiring the use of some other standard receptacle compatible with the Hauler's uniform equipment.

  • Solid waste facility means a site, location, tract of land, installation, or building used for incineration, composting, sanitary landfilling, or other methods of disposal of solid wastes or, if the solid wastes consist of scrap tires, for collection, storage, or processing of the solid wastes; or for the transfer of solid wastes.

  • Solid waste management facility means the same as that term is defined in Section 19-6-502.

  • Solid Waste Disposal Facility means any facility involved in the disposal of solid waste, as defined in NCGS 130A-290(a)(35).

  • Solid Waste Disposal Site means, as defined in NCGS 130A-290(a)(36), any place at which solid wastes are disposed of by incineration, sanitary landfill, or any other method.

Such units include any area at a facility at which solid wastes have been routinely or systematically released.

  • Transportation Service means a service for moving people and goods, such as intercity bus service and passenger rail service.

  • Wood waste means untreated wood and untreated wood products, including tree stumps (whole or chipped), trees, tree limbs (whole or chipped), bark, sawdust, chips, scraps, slabs, millings, and shavings. Wood waste does not include:

  • Waste pile means any non-containerized accumulation of solid, non-flowing waste that is used for treatment or storage.

  • Yard waste means leaves, grass clippings, yard and garden debris and brush, including clean woody vegetative material no greater than 6 inches in diameter. This term does not include stumps, roots or shrubs with intact root balls.

  • Remediation waste management site means a facility where an owner or operator is or will be treating, storing or disposing of hazardous remediation wastes. A remediation waste management site is not a facility that is subject to corrective action under § 264.101 of this regulation, but is subject to corrective action requirements if the site is located in such a facility.

  • Food Waste means waste food that is household waste or, as the case may be, commercial waste, and shall have the same meaning as that applying to Regulation 7 of the Waste Management (Food Waste) Regulations 2009 (SI 508 of 2009) or, as the case may be, to Regulation 6 of the European Union (Household Food Waste and Bio-Waste) Regulations 2015 (SI 430 of 2015);

  • Waste Disposal Site means a Waste Disposal Site which is not a Hauled Sewage Disposal Site, a Sewage Works or a Waste Stabilization Pond; and

  • Municipal solid waste landfill or “MSW landfill” means an entire disposal facility in a contiguous geographical space where household waste is placed in or on land. An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.

  • Waste tire means a tire that is no longer suitable for its original purpose because of wear, damage or defect.

  • Storm water or wastewater collection system means piping, pumps, conduits, and any other equipment necessary to collect and transport the flow of surface water run-off resulting from precipitation, or domestic, commercial, or industrial wastewater to and from retention areas or any areas where treatment is designated to occur. The collection of storm water and wastewater does not include treatment except where incidental to conveyance.

  • Emergency Medical Transportation means the transportation, by ambulance, of sick, injured or otherwise incapacitated persons who require emergency medical care.

  • Waste load allocation means (i) the water quality-based annual mass load of total nitrogen or

  • Wastewater collection system means the sewer and pumping system used for the collection and conveyance of domestic, commercial and industrial wastewater; and

  • In-stream Waste Concentration or "(IWC)" means the concentration of a discharge in the receiving water after mixing has occurred in the allocated zone of influence.

  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) means the national program for issuing, modifying, revoking and reissuing, terminating, monitoring, and enforcing permits and imposing and enforcing pretreatment requirements, under Sections 307, 318, 402, and 405 of CWA. The term includes an approved program.

  • Nuclear waste means a quantity of source, byproduct or special nuclear material (the definition of nuclear waste in this chapter is used in the same way as in 49 CFR 173.403) required to be in NRC-approved specification packaging while transported to, through or across a state boundary to a disposal site, or to a collection point for transport to a disposal site.
