Musical Works definition

Musical Works. Defined. The phrase “musical works” shall be construed to mean musical compositions and dramatico-musical compositions, the words and music thereof, and the respective arrangements thereof, and the selections therefrom.

Musical Works means such works as songs and symphonic works, with or without accompanying words, which can be sung or performed;

Musical Works means any work consisting of music and/or any lyrics or words written to be used with music. It includes any part of such work.

• Unless defined herein or otherwise agreed by the parties, the definition(s) of excluded Musical Works with respect to each of the repertoires listed below is as published on the CISAC website from time to time.

• Nothing in this License Agreement shall be construed to grant to Licensee, or any third party, any right to reproduce, copy or distribute by any means, method or process whatsoever, any Musical Works (or any part thereof) that are included in the ASCAP Repertory licensed under this License Agreement.

• The Licensed Rights are limited to non-dramatic performances of the Musical Works in the ASCAP Repertory.

• Nothing in this License Agreement shall be construed to grant to Licensee, or to authorize Licensee to grant to any of its affiliates or any third party, the right to reproduce, copy, distribute or perform publicly by any means, method or process whatsoever, any sound recording embodying any Musical Works (or any part thereof) that are included in the ASCAP Repertory licensed under this License Agreement.

• This License Agreement does not authorize the dramatic performances of any Musical Work in the ASCAP Repertory, nor does it authorize the public performance of any opera, operetta, musical comedy, play with music, revue, ballet or like production or performance, in whole or in part; provided, however that this license does authorize the public performance of Musical Works embodied on albums constituting the audio soundtracks of operas, operettas, musical comedies, plays or like productions.

Musical Works means any musical work or other protected subject matter;

Musical Works means any combination of melody or harmony, either printed, reduced to writing or otherwise graphically produced or reproduced, and includes records and perforated rolls.

Musical Works. Means a work consisting of music exclusive of any words or action intended to be sung, spoken or performed with the music.

Musical Works means any musical work (as defined by copyright law in any country in the Licensed Territory) and any lyrics or words written to be used with such musical work (if applicable). It includes any part of such a work. “Repertoire / Repertoire Works” means a Musical Work as far as it is part of the Licensed Repertoire according to Schedule 2.

Musical Works means any work consisting of music and any lyrics or words written to be used with music. The expression shall extend to any dramatico-musical work (subject however to the provisions of clause 2.2) and to any part of any Musical Work (subject to clause 9).
