Firm Transmission definition

Firm Transmission means Transmission Services to or from the Point of Delivery that cannot be curtailed within an operating hour for economic reasons or for higher priority transmission; provided that if Seller or Buyer, as applicable, uses commercially reasonable efforts to obtain Transmission Services meeting the foregoing criterion but is unable to obtain such Transmission Services notwithstanding such efforts, Firm Transmission shall be the most reliable Transmission Services available to Seller or Buyer, as applicable, for the transmission of Energy from the applicable Facility to or from such Point of Delivery at the time.
Firm Transmission means transmission that cannot be curtailed within an operating hour for economic reasons or for higher priority transmission within the operating hour.
Firm Transmission means transmission service that is reserved and/or scheduled for a term of one year or more and that is of the same priority as that of the Transmission Provider’s firm use of the transmission system. Firm Transmission service that is reserved and/or scheduled for a term of less than one year shall be considered short-term Firm Transmission Service for the purposes of service reliability.

Examples of Firm Transmission in a sentence

  • All Firm Transmission Service shall be scheduled in accordance with the rules relating to the scheduling of electrical energy or capacity transactions over the NECEC Transmission Line, as established under the Transmission Operating Agreement (the “Scheduling Rules”).

  • Owner shall have no obligation to provide transmission service under this Agreement other than Firm Transmission Service.

  • As set forth in Schedule 10, each Party must designate its Capacity Resources as Network Resources or Points of Receipt under the PJM Tariff to allow firm delivery of the output of its Capacity Resources to the Party’s load within the PJM West Region and each Party must obtain any necessary Firm Transmission Service in an amount sufficient to deliver Capacity Resources from outside of the PJM Region to the border of the PJM Region to reliably serve the Party’s load within the PJM West Region.

  • Without limiting Owner’s obligations under this Section 7.1.1, the quantity of Firm Transmission Service that Owner will provide in any hour shall not exceed the Proportionate Share of the Available Transfer Capability for such hour.

  • From and after the Commercial Operation Date, Owner shall (a) provide Firm Transmission Service, (b) operate and maintain the NECEC Transmission Line in accordance with Good Utility Practice and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including applicable NERC and Northeast Power Coordinating Council reliability standards, and (c) comply with all applicable operating instructions of ISO-NE and manufacturers’ warranties.

  • If a Special Servicer withholds consent pursuant to the provisions of this Agreement, it shall provide the applicable Master Servicer or any applicable Primary Servicer with a written statement and a verbal explanation as to its reasoning and analysis within the time frame specified in (B) of the preceding sentence.

  • Firm Transmission Service shall be subject to curtailment or interruption only as a result of an Excused Outage or as provided in Section 14.4(b).

  • FIRM TRANSMISSION RIGHTS ADDRESS PRICE UNCERTAINTY FOR TRANSMISSION The implementation of Firm Transmission Rights (FTRs) addresses the issue of price uncertainty.

  • Seller must deliver Energy from Alternate Resources to Purchaser at an unconstrained point on the Grid, and if Seller is making such delivery at a time when the Facility is unavailable, then Seller will purchase Firm Transmission Service for such delivery to the extent that such Firm Transmission Service is available for the Alternate Resource Energy from the point of its acquisition by Seller to the unconstrained point on the Grid.

  • Owner desires to sell to Purchaser Firm Transmission Service (as defined below) and Additional Transmission Service (as defined below), and Purchaser desires to acquire from Owner Firm Transmission Service and Additional Transmission Service, at the rates and on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth.

Firm Transmission means that “Network Integrated Transmission Service” as defined in and provided under Part II of the Transmission Tariff.
Firm Transmission means NERC Transmission Service Reservation Priority 6 or 7-F (firm point-to-point transmission), and includesconditional firm point-to-point transmission.
Firm Transmission means the highest quality of delivery service offered under a filed rate schedule that is not subject to planned interruptions or curtailment.

  • Transmission means transmission by operation of law, devolution on the personal representative of a deceased person and any other mode of transfer, not being assignment;

  • Facsimile transmission means the transmission of a source document by a facsimile machine that encodes a document into optical or electrical signals, transmits and reconstructs the signals to print a duplicate of the source document at the receiving end.

  • Transmission links are the means used for inter-connecting distributed units for the purpose of conveying signals, operating data or an energy supply. This equipment is generally electrical but may, in some part, be mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic.

  • Central Transmission Utility means the Government Company notified by the Central Government under Sub-Section (1) of Section 38 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

  • CTU or Central Transmission Utility means the Central Transmission Utility as defined in Sub-Section (10) of section (2) of the EA-2003.

  • Transmission Owner means a Member that owns or leases with rights equivalent to ownership Transmission Facilities and is a signatory to the PJM Transmission Owners Agreement. Taking transmission service shall not be sufficient to qualify a Member as a Transmission Owner. Transmission Owner Attachment Facilities:

  • Transmission Service means Point-To-Point Transmission Service provided under Tariff, Part II on a firm and non-firm basis.

  • Transmission Customer means any eligible customer, shipper or designated agent that can or does execute a transmission service agreement or can or does receive transmission service, including all persons who have pending requests for transmission service or for information regarding transmission.

  • Transmission Licensee means any person who is authorised by a Transmission Licence to transmit electricity, acting in that capacity;

  • retransmission means the transmission for the reception by the public by any means of a programme-carrying signal by any other third party than the original broadcasting organization or someone acting on its behalf, whether simultaneous, near-simultaneous [or deferred].

  • Network Integration Transmission Service means the transmission service provided under Tariff, Part III.

  • Transmission pipeline means any high pressure transmission pipeline connected to, but excluding the Maui Pipeline, that is used for the open access transportation of Gas, and includes all items of plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings directly appurtenanced to that pipeline, but excluding any item which is controlled by a party other than that pipeline’s TP Welded Party and any low pressure distribution system.

  • Network Transmission Service means transmission service provided pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions set forth in Tariff, Part III, or transmission service comparable to such service that is provided to a Load Serving Entity that is also a Transmission Owner.

  • Transmission Services the services provided by the Transmission Provider(s) to the Distributor;

  • Merchant Transmission Facilities means A.C. or D.C. transmission facilities that are interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and that are so identified in Tariff, Attachment T, provided, however, that Merchant Transmission Facilities shall not include (i) any Customer Interconnection Facilities, (ii) any physical facilities of the Transmission System that were in existence on or before March 20, 2003 ; (iii) any expansions or enhancements of the Transmission System that are not identified as Merchant Transmission Facilities in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan and Tariff, Attachment T, or (iv) any transmission facilities that are included in the rate base of a public utility and on which a regulated return is earned. Merchant Transmission Provider:

  • Transmission Operator means the entity responsible for the reliability of its “local” Transmission System, and that operates or directs the operations of the Transmission Facilities.

  • Merchant Transmission Provider means an Interconnection Customer that (1) owns, controls, or controls the rights to use the transmission capability of, Merchant D.C. Transmission Facilities and/or Controllable A.C. Merchant Transmission Facilities that connect the Transmission System with another control area, (2) has elected to receive Transmission Injection Rights and Transmission Withdrawal Rights associated with such facility pursuant to Tariff, Part IV, section 36, and (3) makes (or will make) the transmission capability of such facilities available for use by third parties under terms and conditions approved by the Commission and stated in the Tariff, consistent with Tariff, Part IV, section 38. Metering Equipment:

  • Transmission Provider means any entity or entities transmitting or transporting the Product on behalf of Seller or Buyer to or from the Delivery Point.

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).

  • Transmission Service Agreement or “TSA” shall mean the agreement entered into between Long Term Transmission Customer(s) and the TSP pursuant to which TSP shall build, own, operate and maintain the Project and make available the assets of the Project to Long Term Transmission Customer(s) on a commercial basis;

  • Transmission Loading Relief means NERC’s procedures for preventing operating security limit violations, as implemented by PJM as the security coordinator responsible for maintaining transmission security for the PJM Region.

  • Electronically transmitted or “electronic transmission” means a communication sent or received through technological apparatuses, including computer terminals or other equipment or mechanisms linked by telephone or microwave relays, or any similar apparatus having electrical, digital, magnetic, wireless, optical, electromagnetic or similar capabilities.

  • Interconnected Transmission Owner means the Transmission Owner to whose transmission facilities or distribution facilities Customer Interconnection Facilities are, or as the case may be, a Customer Facility is, being directly connected. When used in an Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, the term may refer to a Transmission Owner whose facilities must be upgraded pursuant to the Facilities Study, but whose facilities are not directly interconnected with those of the Interconnection Customer.

  • Transmission Injection Rights means Capacity Transmission Injection Rights and Energy Transmission Injection Rights. Transmission Interconnection Customer:
