  • If a community has had notice for more than a year that an area has been identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as having special flood hazards, the Subrecipient agrees that CDBG funds cannot be spent for acquisition or construction purposes in the area unless the community is participating in the National Flood Insurance Program and such insurance has been purchased for the properties in question.

  • The Subrecipient agrees to maintain documentation that demonstrates that the activities carried out with funds provided under this Agreement meet one or more of the CDBG program's national objectives - 1) benefit low/moderate income persons, 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight, 3) meet community development needs having a particular urgency - as defined in 24 CFR Part 570.208.

  • The Subrecipient shall report monthly all program income as defined at 24 CFR 570.500(a) generated by activities carried out with CDBG funds made available under this Agreement.

  • To ensure compliance with Section 508 of the HCD Act, units of general local government (“UGLGs”) applying for or receiving CDBG-DR funds from the State must provide citizens with adequate opportunity to participate in the planning, implementation, and assessment of the CDBG program.

  • Upon expiration of this Agreement, the Subrecipient shall transfer to the County any CDBG funds on hand at the time of expiration and any accounts receivable attributable to the use of CDBG funds.

CDBG means a grant guided by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended and those regulations set forth in 24 CFR Part 570, Subpart I, as may be amended from time to time and all other applicable Federal and State regulations and laws and assurances signed by Recipient at the time the Recipient's Application was submitted.
CDBG means the community development block grant nonentitlement program, the grant program authorized by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, for counties and cities, except those designated by HUD as entitlement areas.
CDBG means the Community Development Block Grant Program, funded pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (42 USC 5301, et seq.).
CDBG has the meaning set forth in Paragraph C of the Recitals.
