USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. The organiser has an agreement with The Visual Arts Copy- right Society in Sweden (BUS), or equivalent organisation, which regulates various categories of use of the Originator’s copyrighted material. The originator is not affiliated to BUS nor to any equivalent organisation which represents him/her in matters of copyright, hence the following terms shall apply:

USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. If, in connection with a Project, CLIENT requests PPD to make and/or distribute copies of copyrighted materials such as journal articles or excerpts from publications, CLIENT agrees to pay the cost of any copyright fees incurred by PPD that are necessary for PPD to produce and distribute such copies. CLIENT shall indemnify PPD for any and all damages, losses, and costs, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees, which PPD incurs as a result of making and/or distributing copyrighted material pursuant to CLIENT’S request.”
USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. Unless the proposed use of a copyrighted work is an exception under the “fair use” guidelines maintained by the Superintendent or designee, Life School shall require an employee or student to obtain a license or permission from the copyright holder before copying, modifying, displaying, performing, distributing, or otherwise employing the copyright holder’s work for instructional, curricular, or extracurricular purposes. This policy does not apply to any work sufficiently documented to be in the public domain.
USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. The playing, performing or other use of copyrighted television or radio transmission, music, videotape, audio-visual material, or any other work, whether live or recorded, by Exhibitor or its agents, representatives or employees is expressly prohibited unless the exhibitor or its agents, representatives or employees have contracted with the owner, ASCAP, BMI or a similar organization to use the work at the show. Exhibitor agrees to indemnify defend and hold harmless Xxxx Productions, Inc. (and its respective officers, directors, owners, employees, insurers, agents, representatives and assigns) against any and all claims and costs of defense, or fees paid by Xxxx Productions, Inc. to ASCAP, BMI, or similar organizations arising from any unauthorized use of any work by Exhibitor or any of its agents, representatives or employees.
USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. Use of all copyrighted material, including music, film clips, graphics, etc., is illegal. Therefore you may not use any copyrighted material in work done as part of a course at WCU, and you should not use it in your own work since it may expose you to a possible lawsuit. USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. It is the intent of the District that all employees abide by current copyright laws. General ''fair use" guidelines for classroom instruction include spontaneity (using material one or two times, such as a recent newspaper article), brevity (using parts of a document instead of the whole work). USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. In the event that Accentia requests PPD Development to make and/or distribute copies of copyrighted materials such as journal articles or excerpts from publications, Accentia agrees to pay the cost of any copyright fees incurred by PPD Development that are necessary for PPD Development to produce such copies, unless Accentia provides a written representation and warranty that: (a) Accentia has paid any and all fees and costs associated with said copying and/or distribution of the material to be copied and or distributed; or (b) PPD is not required to pay a copyright fee to make copies or distribute the subject material. Accentia hereby expressly agrees to indemnify PPD for any and all damages, losses, and costs PPD may suffer as a result of making and/or distributing copyrighted material pursuant to Accentia’s request.

USE OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. The Engineer warrants that any materials provided by the Engineer for use by City pursuant to this Agreement shall not contain any proprietary material owned by any other party that is protected under the Copyright Act or any other law, statute, rule, order, regulation, ordinance or contractual obligation relating to the use or reproduction of materials. The Engineer shall be solely responsible for ensuring that any materials provided by the Engineer pursuant to this Agreement satisfy this requirement and the Engineer agrees to indemnify and hold City harmless from all liability or loss caused to City or to which City is exposed on account of the Engineer’s failure to perform this duty.
