Traffic Regulations. All traffic affected by the Work under this Contract shall be regulated in accordance with the then-current version of the City of Phoenix-Traffic Barricade Manual (the “Barricade Manual”) which is incorporated herein by reference; provided, however, that this Contract shall govern in a conflict with the terms of the Barricade Manual. The Job Order Contractor shall designate an employee who is well qualified and experienced in construction traffic control and safety to be responsible for implementing, monitoring and altering traffic control measures, as necessary. At the same time, the City will designate a representative who will be responsible to see that all traffic control and any alterations are implemented and monitored to the extent that traffic is carried through the Work area in an effective manner and that pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and workers are protected from hazard and accidents.
