THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. 2.1 The Board under Michigan Law has final responsibility for the direction and control of all aspects of the affairs of the School District. The Board cannot lawfully avoid, delegate or surrender any portion of this responsibility and nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to negate this principle.

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. The Xxxxxx-Xxxx Local School District Board of Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Board") is recognized as the locally elected body charged with the responsibility of establishing policies for the school district. It is further recognized that the Board is guided in this matter by the existing and revised laws of the State of Ohio.
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. In the event that the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within twenty (20) days from the receipt of the grievance by the Superintendent, he may appeal to the Board of Education’s Review Committee, which is composed of Board members only. Such appeals shall be delivered to the Superintendent within ten (10) days from the date the decision was received from the Superintendent at Level Two, or if no decision was rendered, within thirty (30) days from the date the grievance was presented to the Superintendent at Level Two. Within ten (10) days of the receipt of written appeal, the committee will afford the aggrieved person a personal hearing on the matter. A decision will be rendered by the Review Committee within ten (10) days of the date of the hearing. Level Four
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. Except as modified by the terms of this agreement, the Center Line Board of Education retains all rights and powers to manage the Center Line Pubic Schools District and to direct its employees. The Union recognizes these management rights and responsibilities as conferred by the laws and constitution of the State of Michigan inherent in responsibilities to manage a public school system.
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. If the Union is not satisfied with the decision of the Superintendent or her agent as given in the previous step, the Union may request in writing, within twenty (20) work days of the prior decision, a hearing before the Board of Education, or its designated committee. Such hearings shall be held within five (5) work days after the date of the request and may be attended by the xxxxxxx, the aggrieved party and the Staff Representative. The Board or its designated committee shall give written answer to the Union President. A copy of the decision of the Board of Education or its designated committee shall be sent to the Staff Representative within five (5) work days after the date of the meeting. These limits may be waived by mutual agreement. If the Union fails to request a meeting within time limits specified in 8.2 and 8.3 and there is no mutual agreement to waive the time limits, the grievance will be deemed to be waived.

  • Board of Education a) If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2.   • Level Three - Board of Education If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) school days after the presentation of the grievance to the Superintendent, he may file the grievance in writing with the Association within five (5) school days after the decision of Level Two or ten (10) school days after the grievance was presented, whichever is sooner. Within five (5) school days after receiving the written grievance, the Association shall refer it to the Board of Education through the Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

  • RIGHTS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Board of Education, on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the School district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself all powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and the constitution of the State of Michigan, and of the United States, including, but without limiting, the generality of the foregoing, the right:

  • Board of Education Authority Pursuant to its duties under Article X, Section 3, of the Hawaii State Constitution, the BOE has the power to formulate statewide educational policy. The School shall only be subject to BOE policies expressly identified by the BOE as applying to charter schools. If there is any conflict between an applicable BOE policy and a provision in this Contract, the BOE policy shall control.

  • Department of Education The School shall administer all student testing as required by applicable federal and state laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.

  • Special Education Committee The parties agree to establish a committee comprised of representatives from ETFO, the Ministry of Education and school board leadership in the area of special education. Additional representatives may be invited as resources to the committee as needed. The committee will discuss current issues as identified by the parties related to supporting students with special education needs. The committee shall meet regularly commencing no later than November 30, 2015 and recommendations will be made to the Minister of Education by April 30, 2016. Terms of reference will be jointly developed to inform the scope of discussions and recommendations.   • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members.
