Common use of State and Federal Laws Clause in Contracts

State and Federal Laws. This Agreement shall be subject to all present and future applicable federal and state laws and applicable regulations of government authority. Should any provision or provisions become unlawful by virtue of the above or by declaration of any court of competent jurisdiction, such action shall not invalidate the entire Agreement. Any provisions of this Agreement not declared invalid shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the Agreement. If any provision is held invalid, the Employer and Union shall enter into immediate negotiations for the purpose, and solely for the purpose, of arriving at a mutually satisfactory replacement for such provision.

If any provision is held or rendered invalid, the Employer and Union parties hereto shall enter into immediate negotiations collective bargaining for the purpose, and solely for the purpose, purpose of arriving at a mutually satisfactory replacement for such provision.
