Personal Leaves of Absence. SRD includes the time an employee is on "leave", if the employee is on a: • personal leave of absence with pay; or • personal leave of absence without pay which is less than 15 working days; or • personal leave of absence without pay which is more than 15 working days and which was started on or after April 15, 1993 -- only that portion which was taken during the period from April 15, 1993 to August 31, 1997. • prepaid leave of absence, under the enhanced leaves of absence policy dated April 16, 1993, greater than eight (8) weeks.

Personal Leaves of Absence. A. Leaves of absence without pay shall be granted for good cause and for reasonable lengths of time provided service requirements permit and further provided there is nothing in the record of the employee requesting the leave which would prevent his/her re-employment.
Personal Leaves of Absence. 25.01 The Employer may, in its discretion, grant a personal leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority for up to a maximum of ninety (90) calendar days, to an employee who has successfully completed his probationary period, for a good and sufficient personal reason and subject to the requirements of the Employer’s business. Personal Leaves of Absence. 11.02.01 When the requirements of the Company permit, an employee upon written request through the employee’s immediate Team Manager may be granted a voluntary leave of absence without pay. Requests for leaves of absence will not be refused unreasonably. The Company shall discuss the reason for approving or declining the leave of absence with the union prior to informing the employee.

Benefit coverage will be maintained for an eligible full-time employee who has been in receipt of benefits for a period of up to six (6) months during a leave of absence, when such employee takes a leave after being requested by the Company to take such leave of absence during a slow business period instead of being laid off.
