Morning, afternoon and overtime a) The employer shall grant employees a 15-minute rest period with pay around the middle of the morning and a 15-minute rest period with pay around the middle of the afternoon. Except in the case of heavy industry work, the rest period scheduled for the middle of the afternoon may be eliminated to allow an employee to leave 15 minutes before the end of the standard working day, or it may be worked and paid at the applicable increased rate. The employer shall reach an agreement with a majority of its employees and forward written notice of such agreement to the majority union group and the Commission.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Lunch Time The “duty free” lunch time for assistants will be the same length as the building lunch time for students provided that the lunch is no less than thirty (30) minutes in length.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
