Miscellaneous Members. A. Tier 1 Tier 1 covers Regular status employees hired by the City for the first time on or before November 24, 2011 and determined to be a “Classic Member” under CalPERS guidelines.
Miscellaneous Members. In accordance with Section 21251.132 of the Public Employees Retirement System contract options the City agrees to continue the P.E.R.S. 2.7% @ 55 formula based on single highest year compensation 3rd level 1959 Survivor's Benefit and sick leave conversion provisions.
Miscellaneous Members. The City will pay the employer’s share of the PERS retirement formula and employees will pay the entire 8% employee share of the applicable PERS retirement formula for Miscellaneous Employees. Effective July 1, 2011 or later the City will implement a tiered PERS retirement formula for all new hires. Current Public Safety Employees will retain the PERS 3% @ 50 formula, and current Miscellaneous Employees will retain the PERS 2.7% @ 55 formula. Employees laid off and reinstated within three (3) years of this agreement shall retain their original formulas. The Miscellaneous employees hired after February 13, 2011 continue to have a Second Tier retirement formula at 2% at 60.
Miscellaneous Members. The following provisions are applicable to County miscellaneous employees in the Law Enforcement Management Unit whose classifications are so designated by their CalPERS status.
Miscellaneous Members. The City will continue its participation in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Miscellaneous Members hired before February 11, 2012, shall receive the 2.5% @ 55 formula, the Third Level of the 1959 Survivor’s Benefit, highest thirty-six (36) months for final compensation determination, Military Service Credit as Public Service, and the Unused Sick Leave Credit option. These Miscellaneous Members will pay the entire CalPERS employee contribution of eight percent (8%) on a pre-tax basis. Miscellaneous Members hired between February 11, 2012, and December 31, 2012, or Classic Members, as defined by XxxXXXX, shall receive the 2% @ 60 formula, the Third Level of the 1959 Survivor’s Benefit, highest thirty-six (36) months for final compensation determination, Military Service Credit as Public Service, and the Unused Sick Leave Credit option. These Miscellaneous Members will pay the entire CalPERS employee contribution of seven percent (7%) on a pre-tax basis. New Miscellaneous Members hired on or after January 1, 2013, who have never been a CalPERS member, have not been a CalPERS member in the past 180 days, and who are not eligible for reciprocity with another California public retirement system as defined by the Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act (PEPRA), and are not a rehire who is formerly a classic member, shall receive the 2% @ 62 formula, the Third Level of the 1959 Survivor’s Benefit, highest thirty-six (36) months for final compensation determination, Military Service Credit ad Public Service, and the Unused Sick Leave Credit option. These Miscellaneous Members will pay the entire CalPERS employee contribution as determined by XxxXXXX on a pre-tax basis.
Miscellaneous Members. The following provisions are applicable to County miscellaneous employees in the Law Enforcement Unit whose classifications are so designated by the letter M in the PERS STATUS column of Article II of this MOU.
