Habitat Protection. Protect and enhance habitat (via land use changes) through land acquisition, conservation easements or regulatory mechanisms.
Habitat Protection. Parties shall endeavour to establish and manage specially protected areas for cetaceans corresponding to the areas which serve as habitats of cetaceans and/or which provide important food resources for them. Such specially protected areas should be established within the framework of the Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution, 1976, and its relevant protocol, or within the framework of other appropriate instruments.
Habitat Protection. 9.1 In addition to committing to conservation measures set out in Appendix II to this agreement, the Parties recognize:
Habitat Protection. The work authorized by this letter of agreement shall be performed so as to prevent any significant adverse impact on any tidal xxxxx, tidal flat, eelgrass habitat, water quality, and/or other sensitive Bay resources. If any unforeseen adverse impacts occur to any such area as a result of the activities authorized herein, the USGS shall restore or improve the area to its previous condition, which may include returning the disturbed area to its original elevation or revegetating the impacted area. If the impacted area does not recover to its former condition within one year, additional measures may be required to promote recovery.
Habitat Protection. Actions in researching, protecting, restoring, or improving fish and wildlife habitat.
Habitat Protection. In order to ensure that restoration construction activities are restricted to the defined mitigation sites, the restoration biologist shall ensure that the limits of work are flagged in the field. Riparian habitats will be identified on construction plans as sensitive habitat to be avoided. Flagging shall be used to xxxx the limits of work and shall remain in place for the duration of the project. Pre-construction surveys will be performed by a qualified biologist to ensure nesting birds or burrowing animals are protected.
Habitat Protection. All stakeholder groups recognise the value of protecting habitat areas vital to a variety of aquatic, avian and terrestrial species.
