Goal Setting a. Defining goals
Goal Setting. The certificated employee will develop goals as the foundation for his/her alternative evaluation option. During the goal setting conference, the site administrator and the certificated employee will:
Goal Setting. Prior to the end of October, the teacher and the evaluator shall agree to up to three (3) professional goals, possibilities and ideas for student growth measures and student growth goals to be used for the year. If criterion 3, 6, or 8 is selected for the focused evaluation, the teacher shall set a student growth goal for 3.1, 6.1, or 8.1

Goal Setting. Teacher’s shall develop professional goals and timelines, monitor his or her progress, and make adaptations as needed. The goal setting process will be guided by the self-assessment or the prior year’s comprehensive evaluation and must include three (3) student growth goals and one (1) instructional goal for comprehensive and one (1) student growth goal and one (1) instructional goal for focus. The evaluator and employee shall mutually agree on the employee’s professional growth and development plan and goals for the year.
