External Training. Required tools and materials for culinary arts coursework will be reimbursed out of the tuition reimbursement fund pursuant to section 10.7 of this Agreement.
External Training. Davco encourages employees to undertake external training (after hours) that is relevant to their position within the Company. The following conditions apply: All external training must be approved by the relevant manager prior to commencement. Davco will reimburse all course fees and textbook costs when proof of successful completion of the course is presented. If a course continues for several years, the reimbursement will be annually (textbooks to a maximum of $350.00 annually). No wages or salaries will be paid for attendance of after-hours courses.
External Training. External training refers to training opportunities offered through other police agencies, training agencies, or institutes that may be utilized to enhance individual development and to satisfy training or certification needs that are not available through the local criminal justice training academy. External training often may not be pre-approved or certified by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (“DCJS”). If an employee desires to participate in an external training, the employee should make the request through procedures established by the Department. The Chief of Police will have final approval of all external training requested by employees. Employees who attend Department-paid external training will be expected to teach the training to Department personnel after completion of the training.

General Comments In respect of external training, the philosophy of the company is to encourage employees to undertake relevant training and to ensure that they receive appropriate points for the relevant training they undertake. What points do you get for training? The points allocated for training will be 4 points for completion of course. What courses are available? The courses listed below are examples and if employees are interested in undertaking training which they consider is relevant to the workplace, then they should approach the EB Committee/Management and it will be up to the EB Committee/Management to make an assessment as to the relevance of that training and the points which will apply for undertaking that training. External Training. In order to enhance a regular employee’s job performance now, or in the future, the IESO may provide financial support for external training activities consistent with the IESO's Policy, subject to the following conditions:
External Training. The Agency may reimburse employees appropriate costs associated with the pursuit of an academic degree, if so directed and in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 4107, US DOJ regulations, Agency policy, and availability of funds. All academic reimbursement will be determined by Agency policy and Training Division approvals.
