Execution of Contract Documents. Upon notification of Award of Contract, the County shall furnish the Contractor the conformed copies of Contract Documents for execution by the Contractor and Contractor’s surety. Within fifteen (15) days after receipt the Contractor shall return all the documents properly executed by the Contractor and the Contractor’s surety. Attached to each document shall be an original power-of-attorney for the person executing the bonds for the surety and certificates of insurance for the required insurance coverage. After receipt of the documents executed by the Contractor and his surety with the power-of-attorney and certificates of insurance, the County shall complete the execution of the documents. Distribution of the completed documents will be made upon completion. Should the contractor and/or surety fail to execute the documents within the time specified the County shall have the right to proceed on the Bid Bond accompanying the bid. If the County fails to execute the documents within the time limit specified, the Contractor shall have the right to withdraw the Contractor’s bid without penalty. Should an extension of any of the time limits stated above be required, this shall be done only by mutual agreement between both parties. The County reserves the right to reject any agreement that does not conform to the Invitation for Bid and any County requirements for agreements and contracts. The County reserves the right to modify the agreement resulting from this bid upon the recommendation of the County Attorney.
