Work Schedules definition

Work Schedules means an employee's assigned hours of the day, days per week and/or shift rotation schedule. Y-RATE shall mean a pay rate outside of the assigned salary level of a class.
Work Schedules. Each bargaining unit member shall be assigned to a regular work schedule or a variable work schedule at the time the employee is hired. A schedule consists of the days of the week and the hours of the day that the employee works.
Work Schedules are defined as an employee’s assigned work hours and days of the week. Where work schedules vary, they will be posted at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the effective date of the posted schedule. Assigning an employee additional hours on an overtime basis is not considered a change to the work schedule. Hours worked outside of the established work schedule shall be considered overtime unless the employee voluntarily agrees to adjust the work schedule. Involuntary schedule changes must be for legitimate operational needs and rotated equitably among employees and must be for the total hours of the scheduled workday, which is being changed.

Work Schedules. The parties recognize that employees' daily and weekly schedules and assignments are based on the Board's determination of its operating requirements and are subject to change. Except for emergencies, unforeseen circumstances, employee absences, or as is necessary to meet the needs of students, a ten (10) workday notice in writing will be given prior to any pursuant schedule change (e.g., starting time, quitting time or scheduled workday). Contracts for school year employees will accurately reflect the number of student days plus one additional day scheduled by the administration prior to the start of the school year to be used for such things as orientation, training, planning and team meetings. Power House Operators, 7364 Power House Operator and 7365 Senior Power House Operators assigned to Motive Power are now on an 8 hours a day, 5 days a week fixed shift schedule.
