Waste definition

Waste means any waste material (1) containing byproduct material and (2) resulting from the operation by any person or organization of any nuclear facility included within the definition of nuclear facility under paragraph (a) or (b) thereof; “nuclear facility” means

Waste shall not include substances, materials or components incorporated into structures (such as cable routes) even after such components or structures are no longer in current use.

Waste means any waste material (a) containing "by-product material" other than the tailings or wastes produced by the extraction or concentra- tion of uranium or thorium from any ore processed primarily for its "source material" content, and (b) resulting from the operation by any person or or- ganization of any "nuclear facility" included under the first two paragraphs of the definition of "nu- clear facility".
