Order Desk definition

Order Desk means the function consisting of 1) receiving IBM Customer Orders, 2) communicating with the requesting IBM party to ensure the fulfillment commitments satisfy the request, 3) scheduling delivery of the order and 4) communicating with the necessary goods processing organizations to ensure the order is delivered at the committed date and place.
Order Desk. The winning vendor shall provide a telephone service or “order desk” to receive calls from City departments for advice or assistance, recommendations on products, and for receiving and processing phone orders.
