Natural heritage definition

Natural heritage means a designated district based on a land use designation that provides for the protection and conservation of Windsor’s most environmentally significant and sensitive natural areas, including provincially designated areas of natural and scientific interest and wetlands.
Natural heritage means parts of nature and sites composed of geological, physical geographical or biological formations or group of such formations, with outstanding values in terms of aesthetics, conservation or science. Natural heritage may be: protected area, strictly protected or protected wild species, characteristic minerals and fossils or speleological structures.
