Immigrant means a person who enters the country with the expectation of legally residing in the United States of America rather than returning to the person’s country of origin.

New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired classified employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.

Estimated Social Security means, for an employee covered by Social Security, an employee's estimated OASDI retirement benefit. The benefit is based upon an estimated "average indexed monthly earnings" for an employee retiring at age 65 in 2021 - it does not include any amounts which might be payable to an eligible spouse or children.
Mental Health Worker means an individual that assists in planning, developing and evaluating mental health services for Clients; provides liaison between Clients and service providers; and has obtained a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work, or has two years of experience providing client related services to Clients experiencing mental health, drug abuse or alcohol disorders. Education in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work may be substituted for up to one year of the experience requirement.
Part-time employment means any employment or combination of one or more employments in a civil division in which an individual works fifty percent (50%) or less of the time prescribed as the standard work week by the governing body or other appropriate authority of the civil division or where the employee earns not more than one-half (1/2) of the rate assigned to the position if the position has been allocated to a graded salary schedule.
Prime Contractor employee, as used in this clause, means any officer, partner, employee, or agent of a prime Contractor.
Privacy Commissioner means the person occupying the position of Privacy Commissioner from time to time pursuant to the Privacy Xxx 0000.
Sexual abuse means actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.

Open enrollment means a period of time as defined in rule
Part-time employee means an employee who is normally required to work less than the basic hours of work.
Social Security Retirement Age means the age used as the retirement age under Section 216(l) of the Social Security Act, applied without regard to the age increase factor and as if the early retirement age under Section 216(l)(2) of such Act were 62.
Non-Participating Clinical Social Worker means a Clinical Social Worker who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

Workplace Harassment means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct against a worker in a workplace that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome”. Ref: Occupational Health and Safety Act, Sec. 1 (1). The employee rights set out above shall be interpreted within the context of the Ontario Human Rights Code. An employee who believes that she has been harassed, contrary to this provision shall be encouraged by both parties to follow the Employer’s policy on harassment and process. Failing resolution, an employee may follow the process set out in the Complaint, Grievance and Arbitration procedure in Article 8 of the Collective Agreement. The employee shall be encouraged by both parties to exhaust these processes prior to filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
