Critically Ill in respect of an individual means that the individual has been diagnosed with or has had surgery in respect of a critical illness covered under any one or more of the Insurance Policies;
Critically Ill means a person’s baseline state of health has significantly changed and their life is at risk as a result of an illness or injury. It does not include chronic conditions.
Critically Ill means a user who has an actual or potentially life-threatening health problem;

Critically Ill means a documented clinical condition of a patient where the attending Medical Practitioner certifies that in view of the medical signs evident the patient required treatment in an Intensive Care Unit because there was an immediate and significant threat to the patient's likely survival.
