Taking Vacation. Vacation entitlement not taken shall be carried over or paid out at the employees request, such requests must be made before September 1 in writing to the District. Employees are responsible for making all reasonable efforts to ensure that vacation due in a particular year is either taken or carried over as provided in this Article. Employees with excess vacation at year end must schedule and take this vacation as soon as possible which shall not be later than April 30 of the following year for all employees.
Taking Vacation a. In principle, vacation days should be taken in the calendar year during which they are earned.
Taking Vacation. The resident shall be entitled to annual vacation in any establishment, regardless of the duration of his rotation in that establishment.
Taking Vacation a. Employees are eligible to use their accrued vacation only after they complete ninety (90) days of service with the Employer.

Employees shall take their annual vacation with pay during the calendar year in which the vacation is being earned, and any as yet unearned portion of annual vacation with pay in that calendar year shall be an advance (repayable to the Employer) to the Employee. An Employee on probation shall not normally be allowed to take annual vacation with pay during the first 6 months of the probationary period, and if the Employee as a result is unable to take vacation with pay during the appropriate calendar year, it shall be taken in the following year or paid out in accordance with Article16.06. At least 2 weeks (or equivalent amount of shifts/hours (8 shifts/96 hours, or 10 shifts/80 hours) of vacation must be taken each year.
Taking Vacation. Annual vacation is taken in a continuous or divided manner, at the employee’s choice. Each period must be at least one (1) week. However, seniority only prevails for one (1) choice of annual vacation in each of the two (2) periods, the normal annual vacation period and the period outside of it. An employee may choose to take one (1) week of annual vacation split up. An employee who is entitled to more than twenty (20) workdays of annual vacation under the provincial provisions of the collective agreement may take the additional days in a continuous manner, except in situations where she has five (5) additional vacation days, in which case, these days must be taken together. The split-up vacation days are taken outside the normal annual vacation period, after agreement with the employer as to the dates. To the extent possible, for a centre of activities whose level of activities decreases during the normal annual vacation period, the employer may authorize an employee who so requests to take split-up annual vacation during this period.

Taking Vacation. It is understood that the four (4) weeks advance notice does not include taking any accrued vacation unless it was previously scheduled. However, an employee may take up to five (5) days of accumulated vacation leave during this four (4) week period with the approval of the appropriate administrator.
Taking Vacation. 32.3.1 Vacation can be taken in hours. The employee will take the vacation hours in the year in which the vacation is granted. If this has not been done, the employer (after proper consultation with the employee) will designate the remaining hours to be taken six months after the end of the relevant calendar year.
Taking Vacation. 1 You must request vacation via Atrium. You must state the start and finish dates. Your request will be subject to the approval of your manager. Your manager may deviate from your wishes only if there are pressing reasons for doing so. This could be the case, for example, if it is essential to ensure minimum staffing at your department or due to unforeseeable exceptional circumstances.
