Role of the Minister. Role of the Minister The Chair of Sport NI is responsible to the Minister. Communication between the Board and the Minister should normally be through the Chair. The departmental Accounting Officer is responsible for advising the relevant Minister on a number of issues including the Sport NI objectives and targets, budgets and performance. In addition to being answerable to the Assembly as laid out in paragraph 2.4, the Minister is also responsible for: • Setting the strategic direction and overall policies and priorities for the Sport NI as reflected in the PfG; • Approving the Sport NI’s Business Plan; • Setting Sport NI’s budget; and • Appointment of non-executive board members. The Minister should host a meeting of the GB Chairs each year to discuss performance and relevant policy strategy developments. The Departmental Accounting Officer is responsible for advising the Minister on a number of issues including the College’s objectives and targets, budgets and performance. In addition to being answerable to the Assembly as laid out in paragraph 2.4, the Minister is also responsible for: • Setting the strategic direction and overall policies and priorities for the College; • Approving the Corporate Plan; DRAFT • Approving the College’s budget; and • Appointment of GB members.

  • Role of the panel 1. The role of the Panel shall be to make an objective assessment of the dispute under its consideration, including an examination of the facts of the case and the applicability of and conformity with this Agreement, incorporating necessary findings for settling the dispute. 2. The report of the Panel shall be binding on the disputing Parties. 3. The Panel shall take its decisions by consensus. However, if the Panel is unable to reach consensus, it may take its decisions by majority vote. 4. Where a Panel concludes that a measure is inconsistent with this Agreement, it shall recommend that the Party complained against bring the measure into conformity with this Agreement. In addition to these recommendations, the Panel will be entitled to suggest ways in which the Party complained against could implement the recommendations. 5. The Panel, in its findings and recommendations, may not add to or diminish the rights and obligations provided in this Agreement. Article 181. Model rules of procedure

  • ROLE OF THE TOWN Under this ESA, the Town shall not actually receive, take title to, or be liable for the supply or delivery of All-Requirements Power Supply in any manner whatsoever. The Parties specifically agree that the role of the Town is to i) set the terms and conditions under which All- Requirements Power Supply will be provided by the Competitive Supplier under this ESA and to ensure that the Competitive Supplier complies with those terms and conditions, and ii) act as agent for Eligible Consumers with respect to the matters addressed in this ESA. It is the sole obligation of the Competitive Supplier to arrange for delivery of All-Requirements Power Supply to Participating Consumers. The Parties agree that Town is not a “distribution company”, “electric company”, “generation company” or “transmission company” within the meaning of M.G.L. c. 164, § 1 as a result of this ESA, unless a court, the Department, or other lawful authority shall adjudicate to the contrary; provided, however, that the Town may be considered to be operating a municipal load aggregation plan pursuant to M.G.L. c. 164, § 134. The Competitive Supplier hereby agrees that it will take no action that would make the Town liable to any Participating Consumer due to any act or failure to act on the part of the Competitive Supplier relating to the delivery or supply of All-Requirements Power Supply.

  • Role of Seniority in Lay-Offs Both parties recognize that job security shall increase in proportion to length of service. Therefore, in the event of a lay-off, Employees shall be laid off in the reverse order of their seniority within the daycare centre, provided that the remaining jobs shall continue to be filled with qualified Employees.

  • BUY AMERICA ACT (National School Lunch Program and Breakfast Program With respect to products purchased by Customers for use in the National School Lunch Program and/or National School Breakfast Program, Contractor shall comply with all federal procurement laws and regulations with respect to such programs, including the Buy American provisions set forth in 7 C.F.R. Part 210.21(d), to the extent applicable. Contractor agrees to provide all certifications required by Customer regarding such programs. In the event Contractor or Contractor’s supplier(s) are unable or unwilling to certify compliance with the Buy American Provision, or the applicability of an exception to the Buy American provision, H-GAC Customers may decide not to purchase from Contractor. Additionally, H-GAC Customers may require country of origin on all products and invoices submitted for payment by Contractor, and Contractor agrees to comply with any such requirement.

  • Role of Seniority in Layoffs (a) Both parties recognize that job security shall increase in proportion to length of service. Therefore, in the event of a layoff, employees shall be laid off in the reverse order of their bargaining-unit-wide seniority, providing that the retained employees are able to perform the available work.

  • Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYER 1. The Employer agrees to display the following notices supplied by DHS in a prominent place that is clearly visible to prospective employees and all employees who are to be verified through the system:

  • Your Rights and Our Responsibilities After We Receive Your Written Notice We must acknowledge your letter within 30 days, unless we have corrected the error by then. Within 90 days, we must either correct the error or explain why we believe the statement was correct. After we receive your letter, we cannot try to collect any amount you question or report you as delinquent. We can continue to bill you for the amount you question, including FINANCE CHARGES, and we can apply any unpaid amount against your credit limit. You do not have to pay any questioned amount while we are investigating, but you are still obligated to pay the parts of your statement that are not in question. If we find that we made a mistake on your statement, you will not have to pay any FINANCE CHARGES related to any questioned amount. If we didn’t make a mistake, you may have to pay FINANCE CHARGES and you will have to make up any missed payments on the questioned amount. In either case, we will send you a statement of the amount you owe and the date that it is due. If you fail to pay the amount that we think you owe, we may report you as delinquent. However, if our explanation does not satisfy you and you write to us within 10 days telling us that you still refuse to pay, we must tell anyone we report you to that you have a question about your statement. And, we must tell you the name of anyone we reported you to. We must tell anyone we report you to that the matter has been settled between us when it finally is. If we don’t follow these rules, we can’t collect the first $50.00 of the questioned amount, even if your statement was correct.

  • Role of Seniority A reduction in force shall be based on seniority within a department, discipline or specialty, provided that the senior staff have appropriate qualifications and are providing satisfactory service. Whenever possible, an employee shall be given an opportunity to serve the College in some other capacity for which he/she is qualified. This clause applies to all employees, including those on leave at time of reduction of staff.
