Pursuant to Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, the District hereby agrees that every employee of the District shall have the right to freely organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection, and that it will not discriminate against any employee with respect to hours, wages or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association or collective professional negotiations with the District, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement or otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.

The parties undertake and agree that they will not directly or indirectly encourage, discourage, deprive, or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 or other laws of Michigan or the Constitution of Michigan and the United States; that they will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his membership in the Association, his participation in any lawful activities of the Association or collective professional negotiations or his institution of any grievance.
Pursuant to Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, as amended, the Employer hereby agrees that every employee of the Employer shall have the right freely to organize, join and support any Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under color of law of the State of Michigan, the Employer undertakes and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any employee in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 of other laws of Michigan or the Constitution of Michigan and the United States that it will not discriminate against any employee with respect to hours, wages, or terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association or collective professional negotiations with the Employer, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement. It is agreed by the Association that this does not give employees the right to perform duties of the Association during school hours except as otherwise provided herein.

  • Pursuant to I C. 22-9-1-10 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the LPA, shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment, to be employed in the performance of work under this Contract, with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions or privileges of employment or any matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry or status as a veteran. Breach of this covenant may be regarded as a material breach of this Contract.   • Pursuant to M S. 43A.27, Subdivision 3a(1), an employee who separates or retires from State service and who, at the time of separation has five (5) or more years of allowable pension service and is entitled to immediately receive an annuity under a State retirement program and, who is not eligible for regular (non-disability) Medicare coverage, may continue to participate in the health and dental coverages offered through the Group Insurance Program. Consistent with M.S. 43A.27, Subdivision 3a(2), an employee who separates or retires from State service and who, at the time of separation is at least fifty (50) years of age and at least fifteen (15) years of State service may continue to participate in the health and dental coverages offered through the Group Insurance Program. Retiree coverage must be coordinated with Medicare.

  • Pursuant to S B. 1368 of the 83rd Texas Legislature, Regular Session, Vendor is required to make any information created or exchanged with the State pursuant to this Contract, and not otherwise excepted from disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act, available in a format that is accessible by the public at no additional charge to the State.
