Pharmaceutical services a. Pharmacies shall keep and maintain wholesaler, manufacturer, and distributor invoices and other purchase invoices and documents for prescription drugs and medical supplies for a minimum of ten (10) years. Purchase records must indicate price, drug name, dosage form, strength, NDC, lot number and quantity. Pharmacies shall also maintain adequate records to validate purchases from wholesalers including but not limited to canceled check information. Pharmacies must promptly comply with any requests to produce such documentation to DMAHS and/or MFD.

Pharmaceutical services a. Pharmacy shall provide routine Pharmaceutical Services to BLTC residents on an exclusive basis (except as provided below) seven days per week, Monday through Sunday. Pharmacy shall have a licensed pharmacist available 24 hours each day, seven days per week, to supply the Pharmaceutical Services to BLTC’s residents and respond to BLTC’s requests for pharmacist consultation. Pharmaceutical services. An independent pharmacy consultant supervises and monitors the overall pharmacy program to ensure that Facility adheres to all State and Federal regulations. All prescription drugs used by Resident must be prescribed by the Attending Physician, and all of Resident’s prescriptions must be filled by a registered pharmacist. Although any resident has the right to use the pharmacy of her or her choice, the pharmacy chosen must follow the policies and procedures of Facility’s pharmacy program including, among other things, an approved unit dose system. If Resident chooses to utilize a pharmacy other than Facility’s contracted pharmacy, additional charges may result. Prescription medications are an additional charge to Resident and are not included within Facility’s Basic Daily Rate.
