Permanent Changes to Normal Workweek and Workday. (1) In situations where the City believes that alternate or flexible work schedules, different from those set forth in Section 16.1 above, are needed for operational efficiency and effectiveness, the City will give the Union President and Xxxxxxx for the Department (where applicable) written notice of the proposed work schedule and a list of those job classification(s)/position assignment(s) affected at least twenty-eight (28) days in advance of any proposed change(s). If the Union wants to bargain about the proposed change(s), the Health Commissioner or designee and two representatives from the Department shall meet with the Union President, Union Vice-President, Regional Director or designee and Xxxxxxx in the affected Department (where applicable), to negotiate the proposed schedule changes as well as the impact of such change(s) on matters such as holidays, sick leave, vacation leave, etc. In the absence of an agreement being reached within fourteen (14)-days, the City may, at the end of the twenty-eight (28)-day period, implement its proposed work schedule.

If the Union wants to bargain about the proposed change(s), one representative from the City's Labor Relations Section and two representatives from the Department involved shall meet with the Union President, Regional Director or designee and Chief Xxxxxxx in the affected Department (where applicable), to negotiate the proposed schedule changes as well as the impact of such change(s) on matters such as holidays, sick leave, vacation leave, etc. In the absence of an agreement being reached within the fourteen (14)-day period, the City may, at the end of the fourteen (14)-day period, implement its proposed work schedule.

  • Workweek and Workday 1. The normal workweek shall consist of not more than five (5) consecutive days and not more than forty (40) hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. The regular workday shall consist of not more than eight (8) hours per day. Nothing in this Article shall be deemed to restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND WORKING CONDITIONS 16.01 The following paragraph is intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day, or per week, or of days of work per week.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week. Non-overtime hours and starting and quitting times for such employees shall be the same throughout the standard workweek. The standard workweek does not apply to the following:

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Workday and Workweek The District and the Association recognize the principle of an eight (8) hour unit member workday, and a forty (40) hour workweek for persons employed on a full-time basis during the regular school year.

  • Normal Workday The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of work within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

  • Normal Work Year The normal work year for the Administrator shall be Two Hundred Sixty (260) days between July 1 and June 30 annually which will include all student attendance days and teacher work days. The Administrator shall not be entitled to any additional paid days unless specifically required to work beyond the Two Hundred Sixty (260) day contract by the Superintendent or the Board.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.
