Parental Allowance. Under the Employment Insurance (EI) benefits plan, parental allowance is payable under two options, either:  Option 1: standard parental benefits, 35.12 paragraphs (c) to (k), or  Option 2: extended parental benefits, 35.12 paragraphs (l) to (t).
