Common use of New Positions Clause in Contracts

New Positions. Where the Employer wishes to create a new bargaining unit position not covered by Appendix 2 during the term of this Agreement, the job description shall be subject to negotiation between the Employer and the Union. Should the parties be unable to reach agreement, the job description may be submitted to Arbitration in accordance with Article 8.
