Living Away From Home Distant Work. Where Employees are required to live away from home the Company will provide accommodation mutually agreed by the parties. Where there is any dispute in respect of the quality of the accommodation the issue will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution procedure of this Agreement.

Living Away From Home Distant Work. For the purpose of this agreementDistant Work” is where the location of work is such that it requires the employee to sleep at some place other than his/her usual place of residence. When an employee is engaged in distant work, the employer may elect to: • provide the employee with reasonable board and lodging, including three meals per day, or • Pay the employee an allowance of $80.00 per day, but such an allowance will not be wages. This allowance may be increased if the employee satisfies the employer that he/she incurred a greater outlay than that provided.

It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis.
