ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT. 40. The Parties agree that ESFM is an objective which requires a long term commitment to continuous improvement and that the key elements for achieving it in accordance with clause 7 are:  the establishment and maintenance of a CAR Reserve System (Attachment 1);  the development of internationally competitive Forest Products industries; andproviding for the long-term stability of Timber and Forestry Products Industries; and  a fullyan integrated and strategic fForest mManagement sSystem that actively generates and is capable of responding to new information; and  ensuring that harvested areas of Native Forest on Public Land are successfully regenerated, maintaining the natural floristic composition.
