Birth Parent. A pregnant Employee shall be entitled to up to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of Pregnancy Leave and up to sixty‐one (61) consecutive weeks of Parental Leave, all without pay. Pregnancy Leave can begin up to thirteen (13) weeks before the expected birth date. Parental Leave must immediately follow the Pregnancy Leave unless the Employer and Employee agree otherwise. Parental Leave cannot be parceled into separate periods.

Birth Parent. A pregnant member will be entitled to up to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of maternity leave and up to sixty‐one (61) consecutive weeks of parental leave. All such leaves will be without pay, subject to any compensation entitlements which will be available to members in accordance with Subsection (f) below. The parental leave must immediately follow the maternity leave. In the event the birth parent dies or is totally disabled, a member who is the non‐ birth parent of the child will be entitled to both maternity and parental leave without pay.
Birth Parent. An employee who is the parent of their partner/spouse’s newborn child shall be entitled to up to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks of parental leave without pay. The employee shall take the leave within fifty-two (52) weeks of the child’s birth or date the child comes within the care and custody of the employee.

For purposes of this contract, the term “company” shall mean an organization, association, corporation, partnership, joint venture, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, or limited liability company, that exists to make a profit. The term “boycott energy company” shall mean “without an ordinary business purpose, refusing to deal with, terminating business activities with, or otherwise taking any action intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with a company because the company (a) engages in the exploration, production, utilization, transportation, sale, or manufacturing of fossil fuel-based energy and does not commit or pledge to meet environmental standards beyond applicable federal and state law, or (b) does business with a company described by paragraph (a).” See Tex.   • Management of Company 5.1.1 The Members, within the authority granted by the Act and the terms of this Agreement shall have the complete power and authority to manage and operate the Company and make all decisions affecting its business and affairs.

  • Medical Exams 18.1: The Sheriff's Department may require a physical and/or psychological exam by a doctor, at the Employer's expense, to determine the employee's ability to perform his/her regular duties, if deemed appropriate. The employee may obtain a second opinion, at the employee's expense, and in the event there is a dispute between the Employer's doctor and the employee's doctor, both of these doctors shall select a third doctor, whose decision shall be final and binding on the parties. The expense for the third doctor's opinion shall be split 50-50 by the Employer and the employee if not covered by the employee's insurance.

  • Medical Examination Where the Employer requires an employee to submit to a medical examination or medical interview, it shall be at the Employer's expense and on the Employer's time.
